Originally we never intended to wipe towns with the next map reset.

I like my town, but I am really looking forward to building a better one. I would suggest that if in the new update, someone doesn't want to keep their town they can "cash it in" for building materials and ores, enabling them to build a new town without being at a disadvantage to players who decided to keep their towns.
