Water temples in 1.8, and they'll generate in (presumably not yet loaded chunks of) our current world.

Coarse Dirt is an upcoming variation of dirt that will replace the grassless dirt in Mega Taiga, Mesa and Savanna biomes. As the coarse dirt block uses the same block ID and data value as the original grassless dirt block, even old worlds with the grassless dirt blocks should have them seamlessly change over to coarse dirt. Silk touch is not required to obtain coarse dirt.

So same grassless dirt as we currently have in the new biomes but we can pick it up with our fist and craft it. It will have a different texture to prevent confusion.

Also, sponges will become a survival block and they have new behavior as you can see here.

All machines like this seem to have a dock where it is forced to stop or a specific block which can be removed/added to stop/start it.

When I come up with huge posts, I be copy and pasting it to notepad usually fairly often. Wasn't any better on the old forums.

Well anyways... some things to note about the latest snapshot.

• You can create snow golems and withers using any orientation now.
• Water temples are uncommon, but so massive they are very hard to miss.
• The entire temple is underwater. Bring water-breathing potions.
• You receive fatigue while in the water temple which refreshes every 5 minutes.
• There is a new enchantment called Depth Strider which comes in three levels and at its highest level will allow you to run normally underwater.
• You can obtain cracked stone bricks by smelting regular stone bricks.
• Tab list now shows player avatar heads.
• Silk Touching giant mushroom blocks has been fixed.

Bunch of other stuff, but that's some of the less talked about additions. If the character limit cannot be increased then I'll just post small updates from now on.
