February 23rd, Day 1566: Acer rufinerve

Fruit Info: Today for our next fruit of the day we will have another species of maple. This one is referred to as the grey-budded snake-bark maple fruit. It can also be called the redvein maple fruit which is simpler but far less interesting. Anyways it is also native to mountain forests in Japan and it has some neat wing-ish structures on it.

February 24th, Day 1567: Acer saccharum

Fruit Info: Here for our next fruit of the day we have the fruit of the sugar maple. This fruit is a native of the hardwood forests of the eastern United States and Canada. This fruit is made of up of a pair of seeds and a pair of wings basically. It is referred to as a Samara.

February 25th, Day 1568: Acer oliverianum

Fruit Info: Here for the next fruit in this fruit of the day series we have the fruit of Oliver’s Maple. This fruit is a native of the forests and valleys of China and Taiwan. The fruits usually only have two seeds and two wings but sometimes the tree can grow a specimen with 3 seeds.

February 26th, Day 1569: Acer shirasawanum

Fruit Info: For our next fruit of the day we have the fruit of the shirasawa maple, or as it is also called the full moon maple. This fruit is a native to Japan specifically in the central
and southern areas of Honshu. The fruit is a paired samara with wing like structures.

February 27th, Day 1570: Acer sieboldianum

Fruit Info: Today for our next fruit of the day we have the fruit of the lovely Siebold’s Maple. This fruit is a species native to Japan, and it is most common within the forests of Honshu, Hokkaido, Shikoku and Kyushu. This fruit matures in the early parts of autumn each year.

February 28th, Day 1571: Acer spicatum

Fruit Info: For the next fruit in this fruit of the day series we have another species of maple. Specifically, this fruit grows on a tree known as the mountain maple/dwarf maple/moose maple/white maple. It is a native of northeastern North America and the southern parts of the Appalachian mountains.

March 1st, Day 1572: Acer stachyophyllum

Fruit Info: Here in our ongoing series of daily fruits as I slowly descend into insanity we have another maple tree fruit. It is a native of Myanmar, Nepal, Bhutan, northern India and China. There is very little else to say about this fruit.

March 2nd, Day 1573: Acer tataricum

Fruit Info: Today for our next fruit of the day we have the Tatar Maple’s fruit. It is a native to central and southeastern regions of Europe. The fruit is a paired red samara under half an inch long. It matures in late summer to early autumn.

March 3rd, Day 1574: Acer shirasawanum

Fruit Info: For our next fruit of the day we have the fullmoon maple fruit. The plant that grows it is sometimes called the Shirasawa maple. This fruit is a native of Japan from central and southern regions of Honshu. There is nothing really special about it compared to its close relatives.

March 4th, Day 1575: Acer tutcheri

Fruit Info: Here we have our next fruit of the day and like all the previous ones for a while now it is a fruit from a maple tree, specifically this one is from the Tutcher’s maple. This one is a native to several of the provinces of southern China as well as being native to Taiwan.

March 5th, Day 1576: Acer yui

Fruit Info: Here we have another fruit that is a native of China. Specifically, this fruit grows in the Sichuan provinces and the Gansu province of China. This is the last fruit that we will have that grows on a maple for a while I believe.

March 6th, Day 1577: Dried Fruit

Fruit Info: For this next fruit we have the dried fruit. It is indigenous to the dry dry deserts of the mushroom kingdom. It is usually found after defeating a pokey, but nobody is quite sure where they get it from. It is the primary ingredient in yummy meals and can heal 15 hp.

March 7th, Day 1578: Xanthoceras sorbifolium

Fruit Info: Here we have our next fruit of the day, this one finally getting us away from the maples and into a new monotypic genus interestingly this fruit has a super long history but also has almost no online presence at one point. . It is a native of northern China and some of Russia.
