September 2nd, Day 836: Arctostaphylos uva-ursi

Fruit Info: Did you know that the fruits in this genus are drupes? Because I didn’t. But it turns out this one is a drupe like all of the other ones so far. That being said, it’s common name, Kinnikinnick, is one of the best names I’ve seen yet. The word Kinnikinnick is an Algonquin word meaning “smoking mixture”.

September 4th, Day 838: Summer Holly

Fruit Info: For our fruit of the day today we have Comarostaphylis diversifolia, also known as the Summer Holly, also known as the California Comarostaphylos. (Doesn’t that just roll off the tongue nicely…) This bright red drupe is supposed to be very juicy, it personally I’ve never had one so someone else would have to verify that for me.

r u good? its like a normal part of ur day now...
I truly don’t think much about it anymore. Like my PA Sentry twin said, it’s just part of our chaotic energy. I post a fruit every day and she talks in public chat for ages, that’s just how life is at this point. It’s up to Crypt to change that. (Well… change it for me at least)

Sentries going insane part 1000
I feel like we passed part 1000 long ago…

September 5th, Day 839: Baja California Manzanita

Fruit Info: Today’s fruit, Orninthostaphylos oppositifolia, is the only member of its genus. This fruit is a type of drupe, which means it contains a stone. Or more accurately in this case meaning it contains 5 stones, with two seeds in each stone.

September 6th, Day 840: Mission Manzanita

Fruit Info: Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to locate a new target and take it out by any means necessary. While it is believed to currently go under the name Mission Manzanita, the target has been known to use Xylococcus bicolor as well. Surveillance footage places it as being in the Baja California Peninsula. To eliminate the target we suggest soaking them overnight in cold water to create a non-identifiable cider-like liquid.

Good luck agent.

September 7th, Day 841: Epigaea asiatica

Fruit Info: “It’s seeds are dispersed by ants” - Wikipedia

That’s about all Wikipedia had to say about this fruit. The only other almost interesting tidbit is that it is native to Japan. Neat.
