  • You can only ever have a maximum of 5 potions in your inventory. Anything adding potions will fail to do so if you are maxed out.

Arena matchmaking has now reverted to a similar style in the past whereby repeatedly fighting the same opponent and/or fighting somebody with a much different rating than you will mean longer time spent in the queue. It was an accident in the first place that there was no offsetting being done, but to address some farming issues, this had to be reactivated.

It won't be as bad as it was in the past where you might spend minutes in the queue, but you'll not be getting 5 second matches against players several hundred higher than you in rating anymore.

In addition, some other changes/bugs have been propagated to the PvP server:
  • Players who AFK in pvp scenarios will be auto-kicked after some time.
  • Perhaps the bug whereby people who don't manage to join a BG end up stuck on a team, or both teams if they try to join later (needs some more testing).
  • Joining matches should be a little faster (most people should go straight to their matches, instead of seeing the vague pvp lobby for a second or two). The 'first person on the server' will still go to that room, but others won't.
  • The aforementioned 'vague pvp lobby' is now a black room of ultimate darkness.
  • Soon to experiment with an idea that may offset the resource pack loading hitch onto the main Loka server. In short, when you join Loka, you may load the resource pack and experience the hitch. But, once you've loaded it, theoretically, going to pvp matches should no longer require loading that pack since you already have it loaded, which might mean going to and from pvp matches may get much smoother.

  • Ender Charge's damage has been increased by quite a bit, mostly so that it works. Players should see it doing some real damage now.

So you're increasing Ender Charge's damage so that it's noticeable, but there are other talents that could use the same. Most noticeable is the pointy talent that gives the thorns enchant on your gear. The thorns enchant doesn't deal enough damage to break through the high protection gear of the person attacking you, it runs your armor down much faster than normal, and because the player attacking you is technically taking damage when they hit you, they have invincibility for a portion of a second, without losing hearts which puts you at more of a disadvantage in a fight.

I'll take a look at it, easy enough to fix that. I wasn't really so much buffing EC as much as fixing it, as it was doing like 0-1h damage.

  • Custom death messages have been added for a variety of scenarios, mostly including being killed by an active talent ability (Explosive Arrow, Overloaded Shield, Ender Charge, Lunge, etc).
  • This also fixes the bug in which being killed with Resolve activated seems to produce no killer.
  • Explosive Arrow's AOE damage has been slightly increased and its direct hit damage has been increased in order to help it compete with the damage from OS and EC.

  • Overloaded Shield's damage has been reduced.
  • Overloaded Shield now has some constant particle effects when active.
  • Overloaded Shield's damage mitigation reduced from 70% to 40%

We have a new PvP Server Host. Hopefully this will bring much less lag and more performance which'll hopefully help when we grow and our PvP games get more numerous and larger.

  • Explosive Arrow and Freyjia's Arrow may now both be activated by left-clicking with your Bow in hand.
