So you're increasing Ender Charge's damage so that it's noticeable, but there are other talents that could use the same. Most noticeable is the pointy talent that gives the thorns enchant on your gear. The thorns enchant doesn't deal enough damage to break through the high protection gear of the person attacking you, it runs your armor down much faster than normal, and because the player attacking you is technically taking damage when they hit you, they have invincibility for a portion of a second, without losing hearts which puts you at more of a disadvantage in a fight.
