Map Reset to Coincide with 1.6

With 1.6 coming up many of us are questioning whether or not Loka should be wiped clean, giving us a chance to start fresh again. Towns would be preserved in this process, but the rest of the map would be reset. A reset like this would give reasonable access to horses, and make things like mining and exploring easier. The downside is that we would lose a lot, and that this would be a lot of work for Cryptite. It has also been mentioned that new biomes might come in a later update.
So post your opinions on why we should or shouldn't have a map reset. Other things related to this subject, such as a world border for the new world, and large biomes should also be discussed.

When this does happen can we make sure we get a date as far in advance as possible, to allow those of us who are busy or are in different time zones to see if we can make it, and to plan for it? Just a simple request, and I think it would be nice if we could get as many people on as possible. Having it uncharacteristically organised would be a good way of ensuring we get loads of people online.
 
I know it sounds like a bad idea, but perhaps it would be better not to try and judge the time the bukkit release will be here. Instead we should wait until it is upon us, then give people a set amount of time before we move announced here and on the server, to allow for people to attend at a set time.

I like what moppy says but that would probably extend the remaining month (?) which all in all wouldn't be sooo terrible.
 
That's fair mop. There are also, of course, many things we'll need to do to the server to get it prepared for the new world anyway, so just because bukkit 'comes out' doesn't necessarily mean it'll be ready right away. We'll do our best to give an eta.

Just to clarify, do both options include the ender chest? So, enderchest + double chest, or enderchest + building.
 
Just made my forum acc, can u make sure i am noticed in this so I can bring my fav items or buildin 2 the nxt world. srry 4 not talkin 2 much on loka, i liek playin solo normally.
